Cedar Down Farm is located in the heart of west Tennessee.  Situated on 25+ acres of gently rolling and wooded hills, it is representative of the idyllic country life.

 

Our farm is an easy drive to many of the local amenities including Freed Hardeman College, Chickasaw State Park, Pinson Mounds, Natchez Trace State Park, and Chickasaw Golf Course.

 

We are approximately 25 minutes to either Lexington, Finger (home of the K&M Precision Rifle Training range), or South Jackson, TN; 35 minutes to Jackson Generals Baseball Field; or 45 minutes to North Jackson and Union University.

 

We are also 2 hours southwest of Nashville, and 1 ½ hours northeast of Memphis.

 

A small herd of heritage breed mid-sized miniature Belted Galloway cows roam the ample pastures.  A mixed flock of chickens free range the farm, providing us with plenty of healthy meat and eggs.  There are a couple of herding dogs to help run the farm, and a few Turkish Angora breeding cats that preside over the house.
